Pekanbaru, July 19, 2025 — The 2025 Annual Seminar and Meeting (SEMIRATA) of the Western Region State Universities Cooperation Agency (BKS) was successfully held by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Riau University. The event lasted three days, from July 18 to 20, 2025, and was held at the Riau University Campus in Pekanbaru.
SEMIRATA 2025 featured various activities, including a national seminar, research presentations, panel discussions, and coordination meetings between deans and university leaders. Participants were also treated to performances of Riau Malay arts and culture as a way of preserving local cultural heritage.
The event was attended by hundreds of participants from various state universities, including lecturers, researchers, students, and academic officials. The presence of experts and educational figures enriched the discussions.
As the SEMIRATA 2025 series of activities concludes, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Riau University express their gratitude for the participation of all parties who have supported the success of this event. It is hoped that the results of SEMIRATA 2025 will make a tangible contribution to improving the quality of education and research in Indonesia.
