Pekanbaru, July 15, 2025 — The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the University of Riau officially established a partnership with the Forest Management Unit (KPH) Tasik Besar Serkap, during an agreement signing ceremony held at the Riau Provincial Environment and Forestry Service office.

The event was also attended by the Acting Head of the Riau Provincial Environment and Forestry Service, Mr. Embiyarman, S.Hut.T, M.P., who provided remarks and expressed his support for this collaborative initiative. The agreement was signed by the Dean of FMIPA UNRI, Dr. Syamsudhuha, M.Sc., along with the Head of the KPH Tasik Besar Serkap, Andri, S.Hut.

Also in attendance were FMIPA leadership, including the Vice Dean III, the Head of the Biology Department, and the Biology Study Program Coordinator, who witnessed the signing ceremony.

This collaboration covers three main areas: education, research, and human resource development. This agreement is expected to provide opportunities for the FMIPA academic community, particularly students and lecturers, to actively participate in activities in forest management areas, including field practicums, joint research, and training to improve competency.
