Pekanbaru, July 19, 2025 — The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Riau University officially established a partnership with the Open University (UT) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement as part of the SEMIRATA 2025 event. This collaboration aims to strengthen synergies in education, research, and community service between the two higher education institutions.
The MoU signing was conducted by the Dean of FMIPA, Riau University, Dr. [Name of UNRI Dean], and a representative from the Open University, Dr. [Name of UT Representative], at Riau University in Pekanbaru. The event was witnessed by faculty leaders and invited guests from various universities attending the SEMIRATA event.
This collaboration covers various strategic areas, such as the development and exchange of digital-based teaching materials, collaborative scientific research and publications, joint seminars, and lecturer-student exchange programs.
The collaboration between FMIPA UNRI and Universitas Terbuka is expected to not only strengthen relations between universities but also become a concrete step in realizing inclusive, adaptive, and collaborative higher education in the digital era.
