Pekanbaru, July 27, 2025 — Students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Riau have once again achieved a proud achievement. The FMIPA student team won an award at the national-level IDEA FEST 3 event, organized by the Sentosa Foundation in collaboration with STIMATA Malang.
The team consisted of four students from the class of 2024:
Ahmad Syahrul Rangkuti (Statistics)
Ariq Fadhali Hanafiah (Statistics)
Artisa Julianti (Chemistry)
Siti Fatimah Azzahra (Chemistry)
The IDEA FEST 3 competition is a prestigious event that brings together students from various universities in Indonesia to innovate and compete on social, technological, environmental, and educational issues. The FMIPA UNRI team performed brilliantly, bringing creative and solution-oriented ideas that captured the attention of the panel of judges.
In their statement, the team members expressed their gratitude and pride in having brought honor to the University of Riau at the national level. They also hoped that this achievement would motivate other students to continue working and competing positively.

The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UNRI also expressed his appreciation for this achievement.
"We are proud of the enthusiasm and hard work of the FMIPA students, who are not only active in academics but also able to compete and excel at the national level. Hopefully, this will inspire other students to continue innovating and contributing," he said.
With this achievement, FMIPA UNRI reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of student potential in various fields, including national and international competitions.
