Computer Science Study Program students of the University of Riau (UNRI) conducted an academic visit to the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of the State Islamic University (UIN) of North Sumatra on Thursday (3/7), as part of the Computer Science Trip activity.
This activity was attended by dozens of UNRI Computer Science students along with accompanying lecturers, Mirdatul Husnah, M.Kom., with the aim of broadening their horizons and establishing academic ties between institutions. The group was warmly welcomed by the leadership of FST UIN North Sumatra, lecturers, and local students in the FST hall.
The Deputy Dean of FST UIN North Sumatra expressed his appreciation for this visit. "We hope that activities like this can strengthen networks between campuses, share experiences, and jointly contribute to the development of computer science in Indonesia," he said.
The visit agenda included a panel discussion on the theme of Current Technology Trends in the Field of Computer Science, a laboratory tour, and an introduction to the excellent programs at FST UIN North Sumatra. Students also had the opportunity to have a dialogue with host students regarding ongoing organizational and research activities.
The Computer Science Trip activity ended with a group photo session and the handover of souvenirs from both parties as a symbol of friendship and good cooperation between UNRI and UIN North Sumatra.
With this activity, it is hoped that students will be more motivated to continue learning, innovating, and building useful relationships in the academic and professional world.
