The University of Riau (Unri) successfully held the Grand Final of the 2025 Unri Ambassador Selection on Wednesday (July 9th) at the M. Diah Building, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). The event was officially opened by the Rector of Unri, Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, SE, M.Si.
In her remarks, the Rector expressed high hopes for the selected ambassadors to become proud representatives of Unri, both nationally and internationally.
"We hope that the selected ambassadors truly represent Unri, becoming ambassadors who introduce Unri to the public," she said.
The Chief Executive, Clara Yolandika, SP, M.Si., reported that this year's selection drew approximately 200 applicants. Of these, 112 participants qualified for the interview stage, and 20 finalists were selected to compete in the Grand Final. Prior to this, the finalists underwent quarantine training in public speaking, cultural insights, and Unri insights to prepare them to showcase their talents and abilities.
The jury for this Grand Final consisted of:
Dr. Sofyan Husein Siregar, M.Phil. (Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems),
Sarah Aurelia Saragih, M.Psi. (Putri Indonesia Riau 2025),
Devi Yenti, S.Pd. (Professional Public Speaker),
Singgih Harya Bintang (Bujang Riau 2023).

First Place: Raihan Tristera Nurdiansyah (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) & Najwa Lorencya Balqis (Faculty of Law)
Second Place: Putra Anugrah Alam (Faculty of Medicine) & Annisa Fiddaraini (Faculty of Teacher Training and Education)
Third Place: Fitra Rahmat Wijaya (Faculty of Economics and Business) & Yanti Adelina Boru Lubis (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences)
In addition to the main title, awards were also given in special categories for the implementation of Impact Ambassadors, including: Intelligence Ambassador, Social Ambassador, Environmental Ambassador, Information Disclosure Ambassador, Favorite Ambassador, PPKPT Ambassador, Talented Ambassador, and Library Ambassador.
Congratulations to the winners, especially the FMIPA students who have brought honor to the faculty with this proud achievement. We hope that the 2025 Unri Ambassadors will carry out their roles and responsibilities well.
